A student was injured after being attacked by a wild animal on the campus of a private university located on the outskirts of Bhopal. The incident occurred near the Kaliyar Soot Dam, where paw prints of a tiger cub and other wildlife were later discovered, as reported by a forest department official on Saturday.
Details of the Attack
According to Popular Bharti, the Divisional Forest Officer of Bhopal, the attack took place around 7 PM on Thursday. The victim, a second-year undergraduate student named Mohammad Bora, sustained a wound approximately half an inch deep on his left leg.
Investigation and Findings
Bharti informed that they have observed paw prints of a tiger cub and other wild animals, including jackals, in the vicinity. However, it remains uncertain whether the tiger cub was responsible for the attack on the student. The forest department has installed 12 cameras in the area and is reviewing footage from the past two days. So far, no sighting of the cub has been reported.
